Matthew Chilcott, Owner of Consensus HR comments: “Consensus HR emphasises the importance for employers to ensure compliance with employment laws such as the Acas Code of Practice and to address workplace issues proactively and timely to avoid disputes when dealing with any incidents in the workplace. The information within this blog also highlights the need for better legal support for respondents (employers) and claimants (employees) and improvements in the tribunal system to handle the backlog efficiently, ensuring timely justice for all parties involved. Businesses should also remember that nobody likes to go to an ET, but should you have too, you need to ensure that you have everything ready for your defence. We always encourage our clients to work proactively, rather than reactively”
