So what are the benefits of comprehensively investing in your team?
Improved employee satisfaction and moral:
A Line Manager who receives the required development is more able to successfully perform in their job. The development will give them a greater understanding of their responsibilities within their role and in turn build their confidence. This confidence will enhance their overall performance and this can only benefit the company and employee involved. Employees who are competent and on top of changing industry standards help your company hold a position as a leader and strong competitor within the industry.
The investment in development that a company makes shows employees that they are valued and creates a supportive workplace. Employees may gain access to training they wouldn’t have otherwise known about or sought out themselves. Employees who feel appreciated and challenged through training opportunities may feel more satisfaction toward their jobs.
Addressing development needs:
Most employees will have some training & development needs in their workplace skills. A training program allows you to strengthen those skills that each employee needs to improve. A development program brings all employees to a higher level so they all have similar skills and knowledge. This helps reduce any weak links within the company who rely heavily on others to complete basic work tasks.
Providing the necessary training creates an overall knowledgeable staff with employees who can take over for one another as needed, work on teams or work independently without constant help and supervision from others. Identifying those needs can be addressed for ensuring a comprehensive performance review process is in place, which in turn allows you to identify the individuals/organisation’s development needs.
Consistency:
A robust training and development program ensures that employees have consistent experience and background knowledge relevant for the company’s basic policies and procedures.
Employees need to be aware of the expectations and procedures within the company to ensure increased efficiency in processes, resulting in financial gain for the company. When working with businesses, we will ensure that all of your planned development correctly intertwines with your Policies & Procedures.
Increased productivity and adherences to quality standards:
Productivity usually increases when a company implements training courses. Increased efficiency in processes ensures project success and an improvement in the company turnover and potential market share.
Development can be of any kind relevant to the work or responsibilities of the individual, and can be delivered by any appropriate method. For example, it could include: The many parts of Human Resources within business.

On the job development, Mentoring schemes with a member of the team, in-house training, individual study – a comprehensive range of methods are becoming more and more popular and as a company we have seen a definite increase in this method of training over the last year.
Many of our clients prefer their staff to learn on-site, and we work with our clients to find the best solution depending on the training required.
There are various methods of development we use for our clients as follows:
(1) On-the-job Training
Using this method an employee is instructed by an experienced employee, who may be a special instructor or supervisor. The success of this type of training mainly depends on the trainer. Usually training in crafts, trades, technical areas etc., is given by keeping the unskilled or semi-skilled worker under the guidance of skilled workers. We provide Train the Trainer training for our clients employees who have either been nominated or shown an interest in taking on this role.
(2) Off-the-job Training
Under this method, a trainee has to leave their place of work and devote their entire time for training purposes. They do not contribute anything towards production during training. This type of training may be arranged in the enterprise or may be acquired from specialised institutes.
The methods used for off-the job training are explained below:
(i) Lectures or Classroom Method:
Within this method we develop the course with the business and run all aspects from presenting, designing/implementing relevant paperwork to putting in place a relevant evaluation and measuring process. Audio-visual aids can be used to make the development simple and interesting to the trainees. This method is advantageous when a large number of trainees are to be trained at a time.
(ii) The Conference Method:
A conference is a formal meeting conducted by us with members of your team in accordance with an organised plan, in which the organisers seek to develop knowledge and understanding by obtaining considerable participation of trainees. A subject matter is deliberated by the participants.
The trainees explain the facts, principles or concepts and discussion takes place. The trainees pool their knowledge and try to find a solution to the problem or develop new ideas as per the inference of the discussion.
(iii) Seminar or Team Discussion:
The seminar or team discussion follows a similar format to the Conference method but is less formal.
In this format the material may be distributed to the trainees in advance and then they come prepared for the discussion on the topic circulated. The seminar method of training helps the trainees to listen to their colleagues’ various viewpoints and clear up any doubts.
